Celebrities share the sayings they abide by in life, and why

Life is a story made of happy and sad surprises, but that does not mean every time you face a hurdle, you would lose hope. As they say, when life gives you lemons, make lemonades, and move on. Staying put, believing in yourself, doing what is right and never letting negativity bog you down is the mantra, says celebrities. They also talk about the saying they believe in and follow as life is what you make out of it. Read on:

Sham Mashalkar
My favourite saying is ‘Action speaks louder than words’, especially in this social media dominated digital world. You will get trolled, everyone has an opinion about you, so don’t concentrate on what others say just listen and take the best out of criticism. There’s another saying, ‘Meri majboori ko meri bebasi na samajhiye dost. Jab waqt badal jaayega toh teri raai bhi badal Jaayegi’ and ‘Hathi chalta hai toh kutte bhonkte hai’. So basically, you keep doing your work because if you start replying and reacting to the trolls and negative criticism, when will you do your work. Just ignore, this is my policy. I also believe in the ‘Never stop learning’ concept because life never stops teaching and we always learn from our mistakes.

I believe our Indian scriptures are the treasure of quotes and knowing them only makes our life better. Simplicity is always priceless. Like this one, ‘Karm Kar Phal ki Chinta Mat kar’ is my favourite.

I believe in ‘never stop learning because life never stops teaching”. My father and grandfather always used to tell me that till death, a person is a student. No matter what, no matter how hard life is, you should always keep learning because you get to learn so many things. You should always be ready to learn, be productive, and think before you speak with your colleagues, friends and people will value you more. The more knowledge you have, the more current affairs you’re updated with, people will respect you more. So, keep learning. The brain is like a vase, keep pouring water into it even if the water flows out of the vase, as that’s how learning and teaching work. The more you gain knowledge, the more liberated you become.

It is nice to be important but it is more important to be nice. One must be humble and shouldn’t throw weight around just because of power or money. Consistency in human behavior is very important irrespective of success or failure.  Basic human warmth and vibes are very important to me as a person.

This shall too pass is my favorite saying, I believe in it. Whatever happens in life, good, bad or ugly, it will not be there forever. I never get too excited when something good happens or get disheartened with anything bad happening, whatever it is, will pass by. Living in the moment but don’t get carried away is the thought process I have.

Best of being imperfect is the joy it brings to others as no one is perfect. But we love to pick faults in others. We give unsolicited advice and opinion because it does nothing to them but makes us feel better than them. My suggestion is to abstain from all not asked for gyaans. Live and let live.

I truly believe in Shahrukh Khan’s dialogue, ‘Kehte Hain Agar Kisi Cheez Ko Dil Se Chaho … To Puri Kainaat Usse Tumse Milane Ki Koshish Mein Lag Jaati Hai’(laughs). This is my favourite saying and I actually believe in it. When you put your heart into something and you’re dedicated to it, things definitely work out for you.

It would rather be a song !!! O Nadiya chale, chale re dhara, chanda chale chale re tara… tujhko chalna hoga, tujhko chalna hoga! Penned by Indeevar and sung by Manna De, this song means everything to me.
