After an year of uncertainty and covid-induced lockdowns, city theaters have opened the shutters and with Rohit Shetty’s much-awaited Sooryavanshi releasing on Diwali, it might just bring the much needed prosperity to the producers and theatre owners.
The movie boasts the biggest casting coup of recent times with names like Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Ranveer Singh, Ajay Devgan and Jackie Shroff forming the formidable ensemble. Playing Jackie Shroff’s wife in the movie is the hugely talented and acclaimed actor, Shruti Panwar.
Shruti, known for her interesting turns in Raaz, Aetbaar, Sameer Hanchate’s directed Gafla, Sumit Mishra’s directed Amrita aur mai and Yeh hai Mumbai meri jaan, is paired opposite Jackie Shroff.Sharing her experience working with apna Bhidu, Shruti said, “It was a wonderful experience shooting with him. We shot for about seven days in Ooty. He is really like Bhidu…he has a lovely personality. It was a pleasure working with him. I have a rather emotional scene with him and I am hoping it will touch the audience’s heart as much as it touched mine while shooting it.”
