“People compare me with someone… Just for the record, I have no siblings, I am independent,” says Mansi Bagla

Mansi Bagla is one of the few women to have made a name for herself in the film industry within 3 years. Mini is her pet name, but massive is her imagination and mega is her vision. The journey, she has said quite often, was a difficult yet fulfilling one, where she started from scratch and today has bankrolled and is producing two films- Forensic starring Vikrant Massey and Radhika Apte and Sirf Ek Friday tha launches Avitesh Shrivastava, Aadesh Shrivastava’s son.

About being compared and related to someone, Mansi Bagla said, “I have no siblings, no mother, not many friends, I have been raised by my husband Varuns family ever since I lost my mother and I have pretty much made all my decisions by myself. My head is held high because I don’t have anything to hide. I sleep peacefully and that to me is success.”

Talking about her passion for films and about her drive to create films, Mansi Bagla, Founder of Mini Films said, “I have always believed everything is fair in love and war and movies are that for me. I would go fight a war for something I love. I have had utmost confidence in my abilities and I am sure my work talks for itself. Movie making is like a game of chess, all pieces have their different skills but all play a crucial role to win- pawns, rook, bishop and the knight. Your team has to be sharp and everyone needs to play their part well. Movie making is a team game and this queen here ensures that there will never be a checkmate for her and her team.

Mansi has felt extremely safe and secure working in a male dominated industry. She said, “It is ironic but the film industry is the safest place I feel. I was determined that I will achieve everything by using my good mind and vision towards cinema. I patiently waited for my time. I had confidence in myself. And I have genuinely met great men while on this journey.”

Mansi Bagla has gained ground with some of the veteran and top-notch directors in B-Town and they are supporting her vision. Bollywood Showman Subhash Ghai said, “I always respect and admire those women who enter into film and tv productions with so much passion and love for cinema and it’s arts n crafts. This is what I found in Mansi Bagla, a passionate producer I met. I wish her the best of success with my blessings.”
