Famous Punjabi Singer Sidhu Moosewala today stepped into politics by joining Congress ahead of Punjab Assembly polls. Sidhu joins the party in presence of former party president Navjot Singh Sidhu and Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi.
For the past few days, there were rumours of Sidhu joining politics as he has given a hint to his followers on social media about the same but it was not clear about which party he would join. Today, putting an end to all the rumours the singer and actor officially joined the Congress in Chandigarh.

CM Charanjit Singh Channi also welcomed the actor and wrote, “Welcoming young, passionate and talented,

Soon after joining the party Sidhu Moosewala met Rahul Gandhi as well.
Now it will be interesting to see what other parties will do to counter Congress’ move as Sidhu has a huge fan following and most of them are youngsters. By having Sidhu in the party Congress has tried to lure youth voters. Let’s see if they succeed in it or not.
