What to watch on OTT platforms in the first week of February

New month means new titles to binge watch, and OTT services have a lot to offer this month. Just in the first week of February, there are six movies and shows that are arriving on our screens, giving us a variety to choose from. For every genre, there’s something or the other that is available to stream in the first week of February. So here’s a glance at what is releasing, where and when.

 

One Cut Two Cut (Amazon Prime Video)

Produced by late actor Puneeth Rajkumar’s PRK Productions, One Cut Two Cut is a Kannada comedy adventure movie directed by Vamsidhar Bhogaraju. The movie stars Danish Sait in the lead role, as the arts and craft teacher Gopi. This satirical comedy showcases a group of kidnappers who barge into a school and make the children and teachers their hostages. Danish, who will be seen in his popular ‘Gopi’ avatar, One teacher among them is Danish who plays his iconic role as Gopi, who tries to save the children. This dark-comedy will be available on Amazon Prime Video from February 03. .

Reacher (Amazon Prime Video)

Reacher is a shoutout to all the murder mystery and action fans. This show will ignite the detective inside you and will keep you hooked. The trailer itself was phenomenal and viewers can’t wait to binge watch the show and get their mind blown. Based on the books of Lee Child, Reacher is directed  by Nick Santora, and finally stars someone who actually looks like a ‘Reacher’,  Alan Ritchson (No offence, Tom Cruise).Alan  plays the role of a veteran military police investigator who has recently entered civilian life. He finds himself in the middle of a conspiracy. Will he be able to solve this puzzle and prove himself innocent? Reacher is reaching on 4th February 2022 exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.

Phat Tuesdays: The Era of Hip-Hop Comedy  (Amazon Prime Video)

If you are in a mood of shedding happy tears and have a stomach ache from continuous laughter, then Phat Tuesdays: The Era of Hip-Hop Comedy is your destination. This docu-series is coming on February 04, 2022 on Amazon Prime Video and it celebrates the untold story of balck comedians at The Comedy Story in 90’s Los Angeles.

Looop Lapeta (Netflix)

This upcoming science fiction thriller film will be released on February 04 on Netflix. Directed by Aakash Bhatia, the movie features Taapsee Pannu and Tahir Raj Bhasin in lead roles. This film is the official Hindi remake of Run Lola Run, a German film. The film is sure to keep you right at the edge of your seats with the twists and turns and of course, Loops.

 

Through My window (Netflix)

Through My Window is a Spanish movie which depicts the life of a teenage girl, Raquel. It showcases her longtime crush on his cute neighbour which turns into something more when he starts developing feelings for her even after his family objects. The light hearted, romantic  movie has it all from melodious love songs, to stellar cast and gripping storyline. It is arriving on Netflix on February 04.

The Great Indian Murder (Disney+ Hotstar)

The Great Indian Murder is a murder mystery series which will keep hooked and alert and give you shock with its twists and turns. The series is based on the novel Six Suspects written by Vikas Swarup. The show is directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia and has a phenomenal star cast comprising Richa Chada, Pratik Gandhi, Ashutosh Rana, Sharib Hashmi, Raghuvir Yadav in lead roles. The series is about two detectives trying to solve a shocking  murder of an influential personality.  Will they be able to find the killer and discover bigger secrets? To know the same, wait and start your countdown as it arrives on  Disney+ Hotstar on February 04.

 

Rocket Boys (Sony LIV)

Rocket Boys is one of the most anticipated series. Starring Jim Sarbh, Ishwak Singh and Regina Cassandra, the story sheds light on the great minds of Homi J. Bhabha and Vikram Sarabhai, set against the backdrop of a brave new India post-Independence. Directed by Abhay Pannu, the series Rocket Boys is an ode to these brilliant men of science releasing on Sony LIV on February 04.
