Did you know why Taapsee Pannu got injured while shooting for ‘Rashmi Rocket’? Read on!

ZEE5 will soon bring forth an exciting sports drama Original film, ‘RASHMI ROCKET’, headlined by the incredibly talented Taapsee Pannu. The movie is based on Rashmi, an incredibly fast runner who dreams of crossing the finish line as an athlete and making a mark for her country. However, she soon understands that the race to the finish line has multiple obstacles, and what seems like an athletic competition turns into her personal battle for respect, honour, and her individual identity. The central topic of the movie is gender testing in sports.

All of us have often come across stories about the kind of dedication actors exercise for their projects. Actors are often seen pushing their mental and physical limits to give a praise-worthy performance. While shooting for Rashmi Rocket, Taapsee Pannu who plays the title role met with an unfortunate injury. Sharing her experience in her own words, Taapsee said, “I did get injured once because in the first three days, I got over-enthusiastic about the whole running part. I really enjoyed it, so I didn’t end up taking enough rest between two successive sprints and ended up injuring myself the third day.

My muscles became too tight to even lift my leg and it took me few weeks of therapy and different types of physio sessions and different style of training to unlearn my old technique and learn new technique to make sure that particular muscle doesn’t get over exerted. So, yes, it did take a lot of strategy to make sure I could bounce back after four weeks because we had to shoot the final races for Rashmi Rocket after four weeks.”

We are glad the talented actor recovered quickly from such a mishap and went on to complete the entire project with flying colors!

Produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Neha Anand and Pranjal Khandhdiya, written by Nanda Periyasamy, Aniruddha Guha and Kanika Dhillon and directed by Akarsh Khurana, ‘RASHMI ROCKET’ also stars Supriya Pathak, Abhishek Banerjee, Priyanshu Painyuli and Supriya Pilgaonkar.

The movie is set to premiere on ZEE5 on 15th October
