Guess what made Chhorii shoot come to a hault!

Basking in the glory of the success of her first solo lead film, Chhorii, Nushrratt Bharuccha revealed what made the shoot of the film go to hault.

Speaking to a leading newspaper, Nushrratt revealed, “The scenes in the film where you see me cry on screen were too heavy for me, and I was actually crying while filming them.”

Nushrratt as Sakshi essayed a character of a pregnant woman, who was stuck amidst sugarcane fields, troubled by the happenings around her. Speaking about it, Nushrratt says, “As Sakshi, I had grasped all the emotions and let it take over me. Also, it takes me a while to get these characters out of my system after the film’s shoot.”

Chhorii not only proved Nushrratt’s prowess as a bonafide performer but also explored her versatility as an actress – someone who can pull off glamorous and hard-hitting roles with equal ease and sincerity. What makes her trajectory even more commendable is the fact that the star managed to achieve her success without the support or the backing of an industry godfather.

Unanimously lauded as her career’s finest performance, Chhorii ushers in a new era for the actress as audiences were introduced to Nushrratt 2.0. There’s much more in store from the actress as she turns the page with content-driven films like Janhit Mein Jaari, which she headlines, Ram Setu, Hurdang and several exciting developments in the pipeline.
