Sidharth Shukla, a renowned television and film actor best known for his part in the long-running TV program Balika Vadhu and as the winner of Bigg Boss 13, died on Thursday morning, according to a source at Mumbai’s Cooper Hospital. He was 40 years old at the time.
Sidharth Shukla was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital. “He was taken dead to the hospital some time ago,” a top official from Cooper Hospital confirmed to PTI.
Sidharth Shukla’s screen debut was in the 2008 program Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na, in which he played the lead character. In 2014, he made his Bollywood debut in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, playing a supporting part. He was also crown the champion of Bigg Boss 13 and Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7. He was the host of Savdhaan India and India’s Got Talent, among other shows.
Sidharth was also recognized for his close connection with Shehnaaz Gill, another Bigg Boss competitor, which was frequently mistaken for a love relationship. The rumored pair featured in numerous famous music videos together, and their legions of admirers dubbed them ‘Sidnaaz.’
Following the tragic news, a lot of Sidharth’s friends and coworkers rushed to social media to express their condolences.
