Tennis fans are in for a treat as they’ll get to witness the career and life of tennis legends Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi in ZEE5’s Original series, BREAK POINT. The show will not only construct their epic tennis matches but also deconstruct their relationship, both on and off the court in a 7-part series. And, contributing to the series are friends and family members of Leander and Mahesh who will be seen sharing their take on this miraculous partnership which put Indian tennis on the world map and won many Grand Slams.
From international tennis icons like Martina Hingis, Todd Woodbridge, Mark Woodforde and Radek Stepanek to Indian tennis stars like Sania Mirza and Rohan Bopanna, BREAK POINT will see all these legends come together to cheer and applaud the Lee-Hesh partnership which was the most successful and feared doubles pair during the late 1990’s. Co-directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and Nitesh Tiwari, BREAK POINT highlights the ‘Bromance to Breakup’ story of Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi and answers the many questions that fans have regarding their public split. This is the first time that the tennis icons are getting candid and honest about their split and putting speculations to rest by each narrating their side of the story.
BREAK POINT marks ZEE5’s first partnership with filmmakers, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and Nitesh Tiwari under their banner Earthsky Pictures. This is also the first time that Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and Nitesh Tiwari will be co-directing a project. The 7-part series will premiere on ZEE5 on 1st October and will be available in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
